Lauren, 5th grade
Students are currently working on artwork that will be displayed for our Veteran's Day celebration at KES. Fifth grade learned a little about Op Art, and applied their knowledge to make stripes that look like they are waving by using line and value. We made our stripes red like the stripes on a flag. Lauren did a great job coloring each stripe so it gradually changed value.

Morgan, Immannuel, Allie, Shelby, Aaliyah, 5th grade Ka'Niyah, Isaac, Caitlyn, April, 5th grade Madison, Bryce, Summer, 5th grade Finished line designs with contour line drawings of shoes by Madison, Bryce and Summer. Julianne, 1st grade
The first grade has been studying lines and colors. They drew the spiderwebs with using all different types of lines. They then painted with primary colors and mixed secondary colors. It was fun to see the excitement on their faces as their spiderwebs, made of white oil pastel, appeared as they painted their papers. Julianne did a great job of mixing secondary colors. Ryu, Alejandro, 5th Grade
A couple more shoe sketches from the fifth grade. Nice line drawings by Ryu and Alejandro. Alexis, Ava, Isaac, Caitlyn, Eric, April, 5th grade Fifth grade has been working on a multi-layered project focused on the study of line. We will be finishing these up after our Fall Break, but one step in this project is to identify and draw contour lines from observation. Just a sneak peek at some of the beautiful drawings they have produced. I will post the finished pics when they are done. Until then...enjoy! |
